Coots - in my limited experience, birds fight over three things — territory, food and sex. This altercation appears to be about the latter. (10 images)

Egrets - a variety of courtship behaviors of various egret species are shown on the Egrets Page (ten images).
Grackles - two images of male grackle puffed out, female with wings and tail up in one
Mockingbird - aerial pre-courtship display off the top of the tallest tree around
Muscovy Ducks - again, this is sex, not necessarily courtship, but the flying behavior before it, seemed odd
Pelicans - especially graphic images (not overtly sexual) of the fin-like appendage on their upper beaks to show they are adult breeding pelicans of both sexes (five images, total, keep scrolling)
Pigeons - sequence of eight images of pigeons puffing up, him jumping on top, her flying away

Black-crowned Nigh-Herons fighting - maybe over territory or a mate, probably not over food, but ya never know.
Coots catching large fish, then carrying them around, then fighting over them - not sure this is courtship-related, but it's early spring (March) and anything might be courtship-related. Related images continue from the earlier day below.
