2005 and Full Moon

are presented in chronological order.
A family that drums together...
A rainbow spiral keeps us turning, and holds us in place.
The stage is set.
The drumming intensifies.
The sunshine gong awaits.
The script is ready.
Swirl Man rests before the ceremonies and dancing.
Solstice celebration essentials are in place.
The sun is shining.
We circle to the tune of 219+ people.
Bradley Ellis of Betwixt & Between guides our way.
A caldron of fire is ready to receive our Full Moon prayers.
We've got our red wings ...
... our white hats ...
... and our families ...
... gathered around us.
All of us, big and small are ...
... ready to celebrate, ...
... push into the future, ...
... and release the past ...
... drumming all the way ...
... filling our selves with joy
... together and alone ...
while the world watches, wondering.
We are ready for the future, ...
... making our own musics ...
... creating our own sense of belonging, ...
... and documenting our incremental transitions ...
... in our own colorful ways.
The circle circles, ceremonially kicking what we want rid of out ...
and hanging onto what we wish to keep.
Circling our circles of men, women and children ...
... in a giant celebration ...
... of joy and dancing ...
... under the summer solstice sunset sky.
We center ourselves with each other, ...
... inhale, then breathe out fire, ...
... roll the energy, and ...
... spiral it over our heads, like the glowing stars of the nightime sky.
We sweep clean the past, ...
... cleansing us with a Full Moon ritual.
We write our prayers on paper ...
... and burn them into our future.
The drumming continues into the fullness of moon,
and a lone dancer dances into the night.
