J R Compton Dead Duck March 2007 © 2007 All Rights Reserved.
My photograph of a dead duck that the British Broadcasting Corporation found on one of those sites that invite viewers to go out and steal copyrighted images and post them there — I submitted their requested forms and proofs, so they took it down, but not before the BBC saw it and requested permission from me to use it on a new pilot called MAD SCIENCE, which they described as "a high-octane pop science program that will provide funny and insightful commentary while throwing to a series of segments that dive into the everyday science that surrounds us." I asked for money, which they paid, and they told me "The series will screen in Texas on cable (BBC America)" and they will send me a copy of the segment. Though I'm not sure when….
